October 19, 2018 — Four authors with Indiana ties were celebrated as winners of the 2018 Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award on October 13 during the Indiana Authors Award Dinner at Central Library. The Indiana Authors Award is a program of The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation funded through The Glick Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation.
October 12, 2018 — The complexities of scientific discovery and medical ethics will be examined when The Indianapolis Public Library presents author Rebecca Skloot who will discuss her revealing book, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, on Wednesday, October 24 at 6 p.m. at Northview Middle School, 8401 Westfield Blvd.
October 11, 2018 — Pike Township residents Richard and Jan Swan have been honored with The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation's prestigious Beth Tindel Award for their advocacy of Library Foundation programs and their daily service as Library employees. The award came at the Library's annual Staff In-Service Day on October 8.
