"ReadIN" at Central Library Celebrates Language and Early Literacy

March 24, 2017 — Families and children of all ages are invited for a celebration of language and literacy in support of Reach Out and Read Indiana during the community "ReadIN' on Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair Street. This free event will feature community guest readers, musical performances, arts and crafts, and opportunities to win prizes and help build the home libraries of at-risk preschoolers.


East Washington Branch Reopening to Feature Special Recognition Ceremony

March 9, 2017 — The entire community is invited to experience all the new features of the renovated East Washington Branch of The Indianapolis Public Library, 2822 E. Washington Street, during the grand reopening of the historic branch on Saturday, March 18 from 2 - 4 p.m.

Community Forums Planned for New Eagle Branch Library

February 22, 2017 — Westside residents of Indianapolis are invited to offer their suggestions for a new branch of The Indianapolis Public Library to replace and relocate the current Eagle Branch during a series of community forums beginning Monday, March 6 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Enlace Academy (former site of IPS School #108), 3725 N. Kiel Avenue.
