IMCPL Offers Live, Online Tutoring for Students of All Ages from

With school in full swing, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library has expanded its popular online tutoring program, Live Homework Help®, to offer more services for every member of the community.

Powered by and accessed from the Library’s website, Live Homework Help® now includes the Student Center, College Center and Career Center that provide live, one-to-one tutoring, a real-time writing center and 24/7 access to worksheets, videos and tutorials in just about any subject.

The live, online tutoring and resume writing services are available from 2 - 10 p.m. seven days a week and are entirely free. Live Homework Help® also serves Spanish-speaking learners.

In 2008, over 6,500 local students completed one-to-one homework help and tutoring sessions using Live Homework Help® through IMCPL’s website. This school year, students of all ages as well as job seekers can find the help they need. has a network of over 2,000 certified tutors and career specialists who are ready to provide the following types of help in each of the new centers.

Each center includes real-time writing assistance from English tutors or career specialists for adults working on resumes. Students and job seekers get immediate feedback, writing tips and strategies as well as proofreading. Each center also provides 24/7 access to thousands of resources including study guides, worksheets and videos in math, science, social studies, English, resume writing, GED preparation, citizenship exam preparation and more.
