Indy Library Involves Local Children in 2012 Super Bowl
October 14, 2011
The Indianapolis Public Library invites local children to become a part of 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis during a project called Super Kids, Super Welcome! @ the Library throughout the month of November.
The project, presented in partnership with the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee, will give children an opportunity to create a hometown welcome to Super Bowl visitors and demonstrate why they love Indianapolis. Kids are encouraged to draw, color and write their own personal welcome messages on specially designed cards that will be collected and placed in hotel rooms across Indianapolis for visitors to view upon their arrival.
Beginning Tuesday, November 1, children and families can pick up the welcome cards at any Library location and return them to the Library by November 30. Many Indianapolis library branches will host special programs or provide designated spaces for children to design their cards. However, families may choose to do the activity independently at home. Cards also can be returned to the Super Bowl Host Committee at 425 W. South Street.
As a bonus, each child who returns a completed card to the Library will be entered in a branch drawing to win a Super Kid prize offered by the 2012 Super Bowl Host Committee.
