All Indianapolis Public Library locations will be closed on Sunday, December 24 and Monday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday.
All IndyPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 1 for New Year's Day, except the InfoZone which will be open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Big Read in Indy! The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Dinaw Mengestu

March 5, 2015 — Indianapolis residents are invited to read and celebrate The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Ethiopian-American author Dinaw Mengestu through April 30 as part of the national campaign, "The Big Read," which is designed to revitalize the role of reading in American culture.


Nominations Sought for Library African-American Exhibit "Women of a New Tribe"

February 27, 2015 — Nominations of local African-American women are being sought from March 8 - 22 for a nationally-touring exhibition, "Women of a New Tribe," that will appear in Indianapolis August 3 - September 26, 2015 at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair Street.
