IndyPL's Website Reorganization Project

Websites need continuous refinement and improvement. The primary goals of this project were to improve our patrons' experiences, make the site more accessible and more professional, and provide better quality content.

The changes made to the website incorporate our new logo and branding.  We updated the look and increased our efforts to illustrate the Library's active role in Indianapolis by showcasing photos and video of people in the city enjoying what the Library brings to the community.

The new look complies with evolving web standards allowing for correct display on a cellphone or PDA, improves load time, and provides for better social media integration.  In addition, we have taken this occasion to replace the underlying software that manages content which allows us to take advantage of current technologies and drastically reduce the staff time required to manage the website.

We hope that you find our new web site an improvement. Look for additional enhancements in the future to further enrich your experience at Please email the Library's Webmaster if you have any questions or comments about the website.
