Make a Map!

To go along with our global summer reading theme, maps are a big part of finding your way around new places. Many books include maps at the front of the book to show readers the world in which they are about to have an adventure. One new activity at the Curve this summer is to make your own map, starting with a template from to print and customize using markers, crayons, stickers, paper, scissors, glue, and of course, a good imagination. What kind of place would be found on your map? Check out a few ideas below, along with some picture examples of maps that were created by Curve patrons:

Map ideas:

–a pirate’s treasure map (X marks the spot!)

–your own backyard

–a secret clubhouse

–a fantasy world or magical land
