View a special exhibit featuring photographic images of 30 local African American males intended to foster an understanding of this largely misunderstood and often marginalized segment of the American population. To further inspire conversation, exhibit visitors can view "I Am" video interviews in which the photo subjects discuss common issues confronting the Black American male.
This exhibit, on display during regular Central Library hours in the South Display Hall, is hosted by the Library's African American History Committee in support of the Center for Black Literature & Culture at Central Library. This exhibit is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund, a CICF affiliate, and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
