Visit the Nina Mason Pulliam Indianapolis Special Collections Room for an exhibit on letterpress "tools of the trade." The collection by printmaker and collector Dave Peat from "Pressing On: The Letterpress Film" includes specimen books, small toy presses, and Indianapolis printing artifacts dating to the 1800s. This program is made possible through a grant from Indiana Humanities in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Humanities and by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

If you already know the basics of PowerPoint, learn to enhance your presentations by inserting sounds, video clips, custom animation and scanned images. Participants are asked to bring pictures they wish to scan. Before taking this intermediate class you should already be comfortable using PowerPoint. Learn how to read, watch and listen on a PC, tablet or phone, as well as search and download materials from the Library's extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks, movies, TV shows and music. Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 317-275-4500. This service is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
This program will be held in the Atrium.

Adults looking for cheaper alternatives to pricey cable and satellite television packages are invited to learn about the pros, cons and costs of streaming platforms such as Amazon, Hulu and Netflix. Attendees will also learn about streaming media offered by the Library, including Freegal, Hoopla and OverDrive, which are free to Library cardholders. This class, to be held in the Computer Training Lab, requires experience using the keyboard, mouse and the Internet.
