As part of the "One State/One Story: Frankenstein" initiative designed by Indiana Humanities, adults are invited to learn more about the themes found in the classic novel, "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, as it turns 200 in 2018. The initiative is funded by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a grant from The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate, and is presented in partnership with the Indiana State Library and Indiana Center for the Book.
The topic for this program is "Frankenslam: Where Poetry Is Alive! It' Alive!" Bring monstrous poems to life, learn about Shelley's influence on rock and hip hop culture, and create your own horrorcore poem in this interactive workshop led by poet Adam Henze.
