One State/One Story: Frankenstein Book Discussion

As part of the "One State/One Story: Frankenstein" initiative designed by Indiana Humanities, Hoosiers are invited to discuss the classic novel by Mary Shelley that turns 200 in 2018. This program will be led by experts from the Indiana Writers Center. The initiative is intended to explore the complexities of scientific discovery, the practice of science and its role in society. It has been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a grant from The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate, and is presented in partnership with the Indiana State Library and Indiana Center for the Book.

As part of the "One State/One Story: Frankenstein" initiative designed by Indiana Humanities, adults are invited to learn more about the themes found in the classic novel, "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, as it turns 200 in 2018. The initiative is funded by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a grant from The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate, and is presented in partnership with the Indiana State Library and Indiana Center for the Book.
The topic for this program is "Improvising Frankenstein: Bringing to Life New Stories of Disabilities." Use improv to explore how Frankenstein is a reflection of how we think about, respond to, and ultimately create disability as individuals and communities.
