Batgirl New Hero of the NightBlack-Panther-AdventuresIf you passed out a quiz and asked people to name superheroes, chances are the first names to appear on their lists would be Superman, Batman or Spiderman. You can see the three letters these names all have in common! If you start to make a list though, you notice that over the years superheroes have become a really interesting and diverse group. Some are children, some are women, some are Hispanic or African-American, and they are not all from fictionalized American cities like Metropolis or Gotham City. Listed below are books that tell the stories of a wonderfully diverse cast of superhero characters. Who doesn't want to see themselves as a superhero? I do, and I can! Batgirl is a librarian!
