Read Right Now! Garfield

Garfield Hogs the SpotlightGarfield is a comic character created by Jim Davis and set in Muncie, Indiana where Jim Davis lives. Garfield started out as a comic strip that appeared in newspapers and then expanded into books, a television show and movies. Garfield lives with his human, Jon, and Jon’s dog Odie. Garfield likes naps, lasagna, coffee and making Odie’s life difficult!

Garfield’s first book, Garfield at Large, came out in 1980. There have been more than 60 Garfield books since then! So far, they just keep coming. Jim Davis also worked with Ball State University to create the Professor Garfield website. The site has online books, games and activities to help kids practice math and reading skills.
