How to Suggest an Item for Purchase
This service requires that users log in to the My Account section of our web site. From the main page, click on the "Suggest for Purchase" link, then fill out the resulting form. Note that this service will be unavailable from November 30 through February 3 as we work to reset our inventory each year.
Acceptable Suggestions
Suggestions may be made for:
- Titles not already listed in our catalog
- Titles available in book, DVD, Blu-ray, or Playaway format
- Titles already published or recently released
- Titles that fit the Library materials selection policy and budget
- Digital format requests for e-books and e-audioooks should be made through the Libby app.
Maximum Number
Please limit your purchase suggestions to 1 title per form submission and 2 titles per week per cardholder. Additional requests will be returned to you unprocessed.
Notice of Purchase
Due to the large number of suggestions we receive, it is not possible to buy every request or respond individually to each recommendation. However, if a title you suggest is purchased, we will place a hold request for you. Your holds are listed under Hold Requests in My Account.
Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials
Have a concern about material in our collection after reviewing our selection policy? Print and return a Request for Reconsideration Form (.pdf) or submit a Request for Reconsideration Form online.
