Branch History
A library for the rapidly-expanding area of suburban Washington Township was made possible by the donation of a 2.56 acre lot from Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Eiteljorg in 1968. The Nora Branch opened in 1971 on North Guilford Avenue and was expanded to 18,500-square-feet in 1990. A 2025 renovation included:
- Updated entrance with a drive-up return
- Updated restrooms
- Group Study and Tutoring Rooms
- Updated Community Room for 60
- Comfort Room adjacent to the Children's Area
- Increased access to outlets for device charging
- Updated mechanical and light systems
- Seeking LEEDv4 Silver Certification for energy and resource conservation
