From story times to art programs, and even an area for teens only, the Learning Curve offers a unique blend of digital and traditional library materials and programming for youth ages 0-18. Our interactive activities are aligned with academic standards and incorporate a variety of technologies to ensure a dynamic, hands-on learning experience.


Resources

Homeschool Collection

This growing collection is designed for homeschooling families of all ages who are interested in supplementing their current curriculum. This collection includes a wide range of subjects and focuses on curriculum and textbooks. The collection is available for in-branch browsing only at the Learning Curve, but materials may be placed on hold at any branch or from home.

    Curveside Ride provides limited bus reimbursement to Marion County schools who schedule a group visit to the Learning Curve, made possible by the Zeff Weiss Memorial Fund through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Explore science, technology, engineering, art and math through guided and open-ended LEGO projects. Work individually or with friends and family on short and long-term projects. Activities will be best for LEGO engineers over 6. Children under 12 must bring an adult.

Tortilla Cooking Class for Kids

Tortilla Cooking Class for Kids

Central Library

Children ages 6 - 12 are invited to join Nutrition Services of the Marion County Health Department for a hands-on tortilla-making experience and cooking lesson. This program will be held in the Learning Curve.

First Music for Children

First Music for Children

Central Library

Families with children of all ages are invited for an introduction to the orchestra during a performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis. Its members will perform music scores from new comic book classics and give demonstrations of their instruments.
