Join this year’s winner of the National Book Award for Young People's Literature, Dan Santat, as he inspires tweens and teens to tell their own stories through graphic novels. This is an online event. Registration is required.
Whether you're the new kid in school or just shy, lots of kids struggle with making new friends. These books cover the challenges of making friends from different perspectives and at different ages, including being a new student and a POC, battling social anxiety, and facing bullies.
Applications are now being accepted for authors wishing to apply for a table to vend at the 2024 Meet an Author, Be an Author event on October 19 at Central Library. Authors must live or work in Indiana. Applications will be accepted through August 26, 2024.

The books are intended to be a good introduction to new authors, genres, and reading in general, and are designed to encourage adults who don't read often to enjoy books. They can also be really helpful to people who are learning English.
