The Indianapolis Public Library is pleased to announce a series of free, in-person workshops designed to help the community build and manage nonprofit organizations. These workshops will cover a range of essential topics, including starting a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, developing a board of directors, strategic planning, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, program planning, and writing successful grant proposals.
The Fall 2024 Nonprofit Series, led by local nonprofit experts, will be held at Central Library from September 7 to October 9. Additionally, the Library will provide training on using the Foundation Directory for researching grant funders and finding evidence-based research for grant proposals. These sessions will be led by librarians on the Nonprofit Team at Central Library.
“The Library has been hosting in-person nonprofit workshops for more than 20 years," said Leah Kim, who leads the nonprofit team at Central Library. "We are proud to support visionaries striving to establish nonprofit organizations that uplift our community. This workshop series enables our patrons to transform their visions into reality by providing tips, tools, resources, and networking opportunities essential for nonprofit success."
The Fall 2024 Nonprofit Series was made possible by the Meridian Foundation through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
