Prominent Criminal Defense Attorney James H. Voyles to Host Author Talk at Central Library
The Indianapolis Public Library invites the public to an author talk featuring one of the nation’s prominent criminal defense attorneys, James H. Voyles Jr., on Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Central Library. Voyles is an Indiana-based attorney known as a “lawyer of the stars,” having represented a number of high-profile clients, including boxer Mike Tyson, Indiana Pacers player Stephen Jackson, Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee, the late Colts owner Jim Irsay, NASCAR safety harness manufacturer Bill Simpson, and, most recently, former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Voyles will take part in a conversation with attorney James Bell and co-author Mark Bourcier to discuss his new book, “ALL RISE: My Life and Trials with the Famous, the Infamous, and the Misunderstood.” The book offers a behind-the-scenes look at Voyles’ decades-long legal career, spanning high-profile celebrity cases and lesser-known fights on behalf of everyday citizens, providing insight into the complexities of the American justice system.
The program will take place in the Clowes Auditorium at Central Library, 40 E Saint Clair Street, Indianapolis, IN. A book signing will immediately follow the discussion, with copies of the book available for purchase.
This event is open to the public and is expected to appeal to true crime enthusiasts, legal professionals, and those with an interest in Indiana history.
