The Indianapolis Public Library Earns 2025 Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health at Gold Level

The Indianapolis Public Library has been recognized as a 2025 Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health recipient by Mental Health America (MHA), the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health, well-being, and illness prevention.

The Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health recognizes organizations committed to fostering employee well-being. Organizations are evaluated in four key areas: Workplace Culture, Benefits that Support Mental Health, Caring Beyond Compliance, and Holistic Wellness at Work. Based on their performance, organizations receive a designation at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level.

The Indianapolis Public Library has met all the requirements to earn the 2025 Bell Seal at the Gold level, demonstrating its dedication to aligning workplace policies and benefits with industry best practices.

The Library scored highest in the area of Holistic Wellness, which evaluates how organizations empower workplace mental health champions, promote awareness, facilitate peer connections, and provide resources that support a healthy work-life balance.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from Mental Health America,” said Tisha Galarce, chief talent & development officer at The Indianapolis Public Library. “At the Library, we understand that a strong, supportive work environment is essential to both employee well-being and the services we provide to the community. This award reaffirms our commitment to fostering a culture where mental health is valued and supported.”
