- Recess games for all ages hosted by Playworks
- A yo-yo performance and lesson with Steven Chase, a top-70 professional yo-yo competitor
- A game room featuring a Pokémon lesson
- Tinikling demonstrations with the Philippines Cultural Community Center
- Chinlone, the national sport of Myanmar/Burma
- Artwork by professional chalk artist David Zinn
- A “ball-room” filled with ball games and activities
- Art play experiences, including an enormous collaborative finger-painting project
- A parallel play room designed for a quieter play experience
- Cardboard fort building in Kid Central
Day of Play is part of The Indianapolis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme, "Play Your Way," celebrates the many ways people of all ages use the Library to explore their interests, connect with community, and have hands-on fun.
